How do I sign in on the website?

Via the Sign in with Steam button in the top right. You are redirected to Steam and confirm there — we only receive your public SteamID, never your password. More in our Privacy Policy.

Where do I find my player stats?

Look up your name on the Player Leaderboard, or sign in with Steam — your profile is automatically linked to your player account once you've played on the server.

Why aren't my kills shown immediately?

Our stats run through HLstatsX, which processes events from the server in intervals. New kills and your updated skill value should be visible after a few minutes.

What does the skill value / rank mean?

The skill value is a continuously calculated performance score based on your kills and deaths — a win against a strong opponent counts more than against a weak one. It determines your position on the Leaderboard.

I got banned — what can I do?

Details about your ban can be found on the Ban List. You can submit questions or an appeal via our Contact page.

How do I report a cheater or rule violation?

Please use the forum under Cheating reports (members only): give the player, map and time and, if possible, pick the matching demo as evidence. Without evidence we can hardly act. Please do not use the contact page for this.

Where do I find the server rules?

On the Rules page — make sure to read it before your first game.

How do I set up CS 1.6 or connect to the server?

A step-by-step guide including recommended settings can be found in our Guides.

What can I use without signing in?

Leaderboard and basic player values, server status, maps, weapon and bomb statistics, bans, rules, guides and downloads. The community (forum, chat, friends, demos) and the detailed statistics need a Steam sign-in.

Where do I find demos and how long are they kept?

Under Community → Demos (signed-in only). All HLTV recordings are kept for 14 days; "My demos" shows the ones you took part in.

How do friends and notifications work?

Send other players a friend request on their profile. In your account you see who is online and can join with one click when someone is playing. The bell at the top tells you about replies in the forum.

What is the fair-play protection (K/D limit)?

It protects the fun for everybody and does not punish skill. Only kills and deaths between real players of different teams count, only on classic maps (de_, cs_) and only with at least 6 players. Level 1: if your current K/D on the map is 1.5 or higher you play with pistols only until the map ends and are free again below 1.4. Level 2: if your total K/D is 1.5 or higher you play with pistols permanently until it is below 1.5 again. Level 3: with a total K/D from 1.9 (with a minimum confidence) a graded pause of 12, 24 and 48 hours follows, spectating is allowed. An admin reviews pauses first. New players are protected by minimum amounts. Appeals: via the contact form. Type /kd in game or look in your account to see your values.
